Become an Advocate

We are the experts leading the fight to end Alzheimer’s. We know that Alzheimer’s disease remains one of the most critical public health issues in America. This is why we are unrelentingly advocating for public policy issues and critical research funding. Help persuade Congress to make Alzheimer’s disease a national priority and make your voice heard on the state level.

We know that Alzheimer’s disease remains one of the most critical public health issues in America, as well as the most expensive. In 2017, Alzheimer’s and other dementias will cost the nation $259 billion, with $175 billion of these costs born to Medicaid and Medicare.

Alzheimer’s does not discriminate. Almost everyone knows someone who has been affected by this awful disease, one that still does not have a cure, or even effective treatment. This is why we are unrelentingly advocating for public policy issues and critical research funding. Public policy work expands our reach in terms of what is provided and afforded to those in need. And where public policy is the noun, advocacy is the verb!

At the Association, we are working toward a time when we will have effective treatments, preventive strategies, and gold-standard care for all people affected by Alzheimer’s disease. Advocacy is the best way to make our voices heard, both at home, and on Capitol Hill.  Now is the time to join us. Join our network of advocates, and we’ll send you timely alerts to take simple actions that will help influence both national and state policy, and create widespread awareness of this devastating disease.
